ABOUT THE RACE
Since the early 1980's, The Sunset Classic has been a calendar favorite in Northern New Jersey road racing, On Thursday night, June 30th, come celebrate the 34th running of The Brookdale Shop Rite Tom Fleming Sunset Classic.
Lots of special treats are in store, including a technical shirt for 5 Milers and the fabulous food and drink that has always been a staple. Hot dogs, ice cream, BEER and other summer treats will be waiting for you after running the challenging and picturesque 5 mile course that winds its way through Bloomfield and Glen Ridge. The stadium finish on the track at Foley Field is always a crowd pleaser. The Tom Fleming Sunset Classic also features the Rick Petersen Mile and our ever popular Kids' Infield Sprints; so bring the entire family as we welcome summer racing at its best. So please join us on June 30th. Foley Field is very easy to get to via the Garden State Parkway... See you then!!!
